The Clear Lids Program
A three-month program that clears and restarts the oil glands in your eyelids. Done in the office, virtually pain-free. Each visit has four steps:
- Warm the glands. Deep heat melts the old, caked-in oil.
- Clear them out. Trapped material is gently expressed and cleaned away.
- Scrub the lid edge. Residual buildup along the lash line is removed.
- Relax. A 10-minute hot and cold eye massage finishes the visit.

Glasses correct the blur. Myopia control slows the change.
Myopia cannot be reversed, but it can be slowed. Fewer prescription changes, steadier vision for school and sports, and a lower lifetime risk of retinal detachment, glaucoma, and cataracts. The biggest benefit comes when treatment starts early, between ages 6 and 12.

Red, gritty, tired eyes are not "just age." They come from one of two problems, and often both.
Not enough tears
The eye stops making enough tears. Common with age, long-term contact lens wear, and after LASIK or cataract surgery.
Clogged oil glands
Tiny glands in your eyelids keep tears from evaporating. Over time they slow down and clog. Drops cannot fix this. The glands have to be cleared and restarted.
They hide the problem
Drops like Visine shrink the blood vessels so the red disappears, but they also cut off the nutrients your eye needs. Preservative-free tears are the safe daily option.

The evaluation comes first, and insurance usually covers it. From there, the doctor recommends one of two programs based on how severe your dry eye is.
Clear Lids Program
Clears and restarts the eyelid oil glands. For redness, irritation, itching, and tired eyes.

For patients who also want to address under-eye bags and fine lines.

Insurance typically covers the diagnostic exam and sometimes the office visits. It does not cover the treatment procedures or products themselves. Your exact protocol is confirmed at the evaluation.
One yearly fee. No surprise bills.
Every option is priced as a yearly package: the product plus all the doctor visits, scans, and progress checks for the year. Depending on the treatment, that is 2 to 7 visits in year one.

Payment plans are available through Sunbit and CareCredit, and in-house financing on select treatments. Insurance never covers the management portion, only certain products.
